CIU Fac-242: Update 1.0 Security Benchmark

This CIU has been updated to clarify the obligations for employers with respect to retroactive payments, particularly those employees still employed but in a different role. Following a mediation with Arbitrator Elaine Doyle, HEABC has reached agreement with the Facilities Bargaining Association (“FBA”) with respect to the security benchmarks. Member Bulletin: HEABC holiday season hours and reduced/essential services period

In recognition of a very busy and challenging year across the health sector, and the need to support staff in taking time off to rest and recharge during the holiday season, HEABC will be operating with reduced/essential services from Monday, December 23, 2024 to Friday, January 3, 2025, inclusive. CIU Fac-242: Security Benchmark

Following a mediation with Arbitrator Elaine Doyle, HEABC has reached agreement with the Facilities Bargaining Association (“FBA”) with respect to the security benchmarks. The parties have agreed to create two new benchmarks: Protection Services Officer (“PSO”) (#10915) and Protection Services Supervisor (“PSS”) (#10916), as well as update the existing Building Security Officer (“BSO”) (#11004) benchmark (currently vacant).
